Shangtex Teaching Complex

Construction of two mixed-use buildings

The project, commissioned by the company Shangtex, involves the construction of two buildings and an underground car park. The design concept is to “weave a dress” around a very simple base structure.

The metal enclosure plays with elements of different sizes, from cable to the beam, vertical and horizontal, which create various levels of opacity and transparency, but also to form a rigid structure external to the building, which changes the interiors.

The project aims to combining maximum energy efficiency and environmental sustainability with high aesthetic quality. The appearance of the building recalls the activities of fabric production of the commissioner.
