Parallelo – A Horizontal Skyscraper

An innovative and unique office building

Inviting, accessible, sociable, Parallelo is an innovative and unique office building. Its light and linear architecture distinguishes it strikingly from vertically – oriented office buildings. It features three floors raised 12 meters off the ground with circa 14.000 mq of space and four meeting rooms, three cantilevered into space, the fourth a glass box floating in air.

MCA has created spaces that respect companies’ needs for operational and organizational efficiency while also offering comfortable and livable spaces for those who work there. The structure redefines an identity of place, favoring a horizontal development that allows the building to live immersed in the natural environment exploiting the energy of the sun.

The concept of a “horizontal skyscraper” frees up the space on the ground floor which is transformed into a modern private square of 7,000 square meters, which can be used as a venue for events, exhibitions and events. Inserted in an exclusive space between pedestrian paths and green areas, the square also houses commercial spaces and business services such as bar and restaurant services, WiFi connectivity, BikeMI bike park, changing rooms and showers in the basement rooms for joggers and sports enthusiasts.
