IED – Campus of the European Institute of Design

The project, winner of an international competition, entails the construction of a new campus of the European Institute of Design, in the former Ghia factory. Of the total area of 12,700 m², 9,500 m² will be used to house the library, offices and student residences, while the remaining area will be devoted to a large piazza-garden.

The tower, intended for student residences, in addition to being a strong architectural symbol, will create a visual link with the city of Turin. Bioclimatic strategies will minimize emissions of CO2 and energy for air conditioning will be produced by photovoltaic panels.
